Youth/Child/Infant Fares

Children

Children aged 2-11 yrs and Youth aged 12-17 years (age at travel date) automatically receive 25% discount on most fares on Proflight Zambia operated flights ; bookings must be made online.

Unaccompanied children aged 5-11 years cannot be booked online; please complete the Unaccompanied Minors Booking Form

Youth

Youth aged 12-17 years should be booked online; simply enter the number of Youth passengers travelling into the booking form on the home page.

Infants

Infants aged under two years on the date of travel, are not allocated a seat and must sit on an adult’s lap. Infants automatically receive 90% discount on published fare when booked online. If you would like a seat for an infant, please book infant as a Child.

Non Applicable Fares

Child and Youth discounts are not applicable on Flash Fares or Group Fares (X/G-Class)
Youth discount is not applicable on fares involving flights operated by other airlines.

Finding the Best Fare

The fare is dependent on a number of factors including the season, day or travel, demand, etc. and there are limited seats at our low “Firecracker” and ‘Flash Fares’ offers. Early booking is advised as fares tend to increase closer to the travel date.

Low Fares Calendar

Our unique Low Fares Calendar is an easy way to check indicative prices on direct flights for the coming three months. The Low Fares Calendar, located on the home page, is easy to use. Our lowest fares are indicated in green ; flights with higher fares are shown in orange or red. If you wish to proceed to make a booking just click on the date. There is no cost to check out availability, but remember, the reservation and fare are not confirmed until payment is made.

Through-Fare Tickets

Thanks to our partner agreements with Cemair, Emirates Airlines, Ethiopian, HahnAir, Kenya Airways, Qatar Airways, RwandAir, flySafair, South African Airways and Turkish Airways it’s possible to make a single booking be it from Manchester to Mfuwe, Solwezi to Singapore or Los Angeles to Livingstone –via our hub in Lusaka.

Your travel agent can book and ticket special “through fares” on many tourist and business routes operated by one of our international partners. Through fares include both the international flight to/from Zambia and the Proflight Zambia part of the itinerary.

Booking a single ticket offers both seamless connections and provides added protection in the unlikely case of you missing your international flight or a delay on your Proflight Zambia connection. We’ll take responsibility for re-booking you, etc, – see our Bill of Rights for more information.

Airport Taxes & Charges

Airports collect a range of taxes and other charges from passengers including Departure Tax, Security Charge, Development Charge, Air Passenger Tax, Passenger Safety Tax, etc.

Airline Ticket Service Fees

There is a Booking Fee of ZMW 350/USD 15 per ticket booked directly through a Proflight Zambia office. Please note that Proflight Zambia bookings made on this website are not subject to this fee.

Rules

Fare Type Rules

Fare Rules means the rules governing the use of the ticket according to the category of ticket purchased. Fare Rules are subject to change. Tickets shall be subject to the Fare Rules as published at the time of purchase.

Changes

Changes to your flight (subject to availability) can be made up to the flight’s scheduled departure time. Tickets that were not changed or flown are subject to the refund policy specific to the fare type booked
Depending on the fare type, changes may involve payment of a fee that is applied per person per flight, plus any difference in cost between the original fare paid and the fare available at the time the change is being made, including differences caused by fluctuation in exchange rates, fare increases and/or tax additions/increases
For tickets that have been upgraded from a non-refundable/ restrictive fare category to a refundable/less restrictive fare category, the value of the original fare remains non-refundable; only the fare upgrade amount is refundable, less any applicable admin fee. All of the rules of the original fare apply to the new fare (with the exception of checked baggage allowances)
Name changes are not permitted.
Change of route is permitted for an additional fee of USD30 per person, per flight plus applicable change fee and fare difference
At the passenger request, changes can be made by Proflight on behalf of a travel agent’s GDS booking, this will be subject to service fee ZMW1000 per ticket over and above all other fees
Child/Youth (2-17 years) 25% discount [no Youth discount on fares involving other carriers, no Child/Youth discount on Flash/Group fares (X/G)]
Fuel surcharge (YR tax) will be part of the fare element for consideration of refund fees. Booking fees, distribution surcharge (YQ tax), excess baggage, change fee, etc are non-refundable.
Tickets are valid for travel dates within one year of the original issue date or one year from the date you first travelled using the ticket, provided that your first flight took place within a year of the ticket being issued.

Changes made prior to flight departure: No change fee but applicable fare difference payable
50% refundable fare
Unused tickets cancelled prior to flight departure: 50% refund in original form of payment
Unused tickets not changed prior to flight are non-refundable and have no value
Fare Classes in this Type include: G, Y

Fare Type: Flexible

Changes made prior to flight departure: No change fee; Changes made after flight departure: USD 50* per person, per flight
Unused tickets cancelled prior to flight departure: 100% refund in original form of payment; Unused tickets not changed prior to flight: 90% refund in original form of payment.
