Proflight Zambia’s Lusaka-Harare Pro Quiz winner Ossah Tembo is packing her bags for her next holiday destination.
Ossah won two return flights on Zambia’s favourite airline from Lusaka to Harare after taking part in a quiz organised by the airline. She correctly answered a series of questions based on Proflight’s latest international destination, Harare, and hopes to combine a trip to Zimbabwe’s capital city with her birthday celebrations this month.
“Proflight’s Lusaka-Harare route is a very important new connection in our growing international network. We pass our congratulations to Ossah and her family, and wish her the best on her birthday this month and a wonderful vacation in Harare,” said Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs Capt. Philip Lemba.
Ossah was very excited to receive her voucher with her mum Kathrine Tembo. After receiving her prize at Proflight Zambia’s head office, she said: “I am very humbled to be the lucky winner, super-excited and very happy. I am looking forward to the trip, I can’t wait to be in Harare. I have not yet decided when I will travel, but am pretty sure I’ll be travelling with my mum.”
To win the competition, Ossah received the most comments and likes on social media. Now she is the winner, she admits all her friends and family would like to travel to the Zimbabwean capital with her – but she is adamant she will take the trip with her mum
“I’m very thankful to my mum for coming with me to Proflight to get my prize, and would like to thank her, my family, friends and everyone who supported me in liking my post and comments. Thanks for the support and big ups to the haters as well,” she joked.
“I enjoy social media and am always checking online on what Proflight is doing,” added the winner.
Ossah has toured several countries in southern Africa. She has been to South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia.
“I like to go out to explore, visit family and have holiday time away from everything. Seeing what every country has to offer is among the things I look out for as a tourist. I really love travelling, if I had limitless money to travel I would go everywhere,” she laughed.
“I have flown with Proflight on several occasions. I remember the first time when I was young in 2005 flying with Proflight on Lusaka-Ndola for the first time. The thing I love about flying is that it’s easier, quicker and convenient. Much better than driving on the road for about seven hours to Harare.”
Ossah is celebrating her 22nd birthday this September – and considers Proflight’s prize a wonderful, early birthday gift.
Ossah said: “Proflight’s introduction of the Harare route is very convenient for leisure and business travellers. Maybe in future I’ll also fly for business to Harare,” she said.
Ossah is currently in her second year of development studies. She has a strong interest in the subject, and looks forward to taking Zambia’s development to another level.
“I would like to develop the country, I know it’s difficult but am sure to push through,” she proclaimed.
Proflight flies from Lusaka to Harare four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with flight P0031 leaving Harare at 08:25hrs and arriving in Lusaka at 09:35hrs. P0030 leaves Lusaka at 06:45hrs and arrives in Harare at 07:55hrs.
