Proflight Zambia’s sharp-suited male cabin crew are taking to the skies with a new look after a uniform overhaul by the airline.

The four cabin attendants: Christofa Kaira, Botswin Patel, Mwewa Katupa and Penjani Kakwende are keeping pace with their female colleagues by sporting the smart three-piece suits in the Proflight blue colour and featuring the airline’s iconic eagle logo.

The new uniform makes it easier for airline passengers to identify them.

“Proflight cabin crew act as our brand ambassadors and play a very important role in ensuring safety on board our aircraft, as well as providing excellent customer care and a friendly service to ensure the comfort of passengers,” said Proflight director of government and industry affairs Capt. Philip Lemba.

The new uniforms were welcomed by the staff, who took time out from their flying roster to model their new attire from a ‘runway’ photoshoot.

“The uniforms display the airline’s notion of being smart,” said Christofa Kaira “We need to look our best as we represent the face of the company.”

“I am very happy that we have been bestowed with these new uniforms, I love them and I look very smart in them, as you can see,” added he added.

“The uniforms speak out one voice and language for the airline, which gives me more courage to face people on board. As people always say, ‘When you are looking good you can easily find words’; and that’s the smartest thing any customer relations personnel could do.”

Botswin Patel added: “I admired my father when he worked for the national airline back then, when he could dress up smartly and go for work. I feel the same way when putting on this uniform and it’s a symbol of inspiration to me and the many Zambians out there who want to take up being cabin crew in the aviation industry as a career.”

Proflight’s smartly dressed gentlemen are ready to execute their work of insuring safety while setting a smile on their next travellers travelling on board Proflight Zambia either domestically or internationally.

The airline connects travellers from its base in Lusaka to Solwezi, Kasama, Mfuwe, Ndola, Lower Zambezi, and Livingstone, with regional flights to Lilongwe Malawi and Durban, South Africa.

With the introduction of the new service routes launched this year from Lusaka to Kalabo, Ndola to Solwezi, Ndola to Kasama, and Mfuwe to Lower Zambezi, Proflight is on course for another successful year in 2017, with even more routes to promote local tourism and business destinations.
