Proflight Zambia’s Lusaka-Harare route has increased international travel between the two countries since the route began operating in July.
The airline’s efficient early morning flight schedule – operating four times weekly – has proven convenient for both business travellers and tourists alike, in both directions.
“We were positive the route would be beneficial to Zambians and Zimbabweans. The 70-minute flight between Lusaka and Harare creates a highly efficient means of travel,” says Proflight’s Director of Government and Industry Affairs, Capt. Philip Lemba.
“From the moment we launched flights on Lusaka-Harare route, Proflight has seen noticeable growth on its passenger movements and connectivity between the two capitals. Our flights have been efficient, fixed and on schedule.”
Travellers from Harare can connect onwards with Proflight’s domestic flights to Ndola, Solwezi and Mfuwe, and internationally to Lilongwe, Malawi and Durban, South Africa.
Capt. Lemba added: “The route has created a deeper synergy between the two countries, not only as neighbours, but as partners in trade and tourism development.”
The new route also signifies its commitment to boosting international trade and increasing economic value for both countries in trade and tourism activities.

Lusaka is about 395km flying distance from Harare and the one hour ten minute journey compares favourably with an average road journey of more than seven hours.
Proflight flies on Lusaka-Harare four times a week, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, with flight P0031 leaving Harare at 08:25hrs and arriving in Lusaka at 09:35hrs. P0030 leaves Lusaka at 06:45hrs and arrives in Harare at 07:55hrs.
