Proflight Zambia makes history with direct flights connecting Lusaka and Cape Town

Leading scheduled Airline introduces first ever Lusaka/Cape Town Route enhancing regional connectivity.

Zambia’s premier airline, Proflight Zambia has achieved a remarkable milestone in its journey by launching the first-ever direct flights between Lusaka and Cape Town. This groundbreaking development represents a historic moment for Zambian aviation and is set to further strengthen regional connectivity. 

With this new route, Proflight Zambia has set a significant benchmark in the nation’s aviation history, opening up a direct connection between the vibrant capital city of Zambia and the captivating coastal beauty of Cape Town, South Africa. Travelers can now embark on seamless journeys, enjoying the convenience and affordability of direct flights. 

Captain Josias Walubita, Director of Flight Operations at Proflight Zambia, emphasized the airline’s commitment to enhancing regional connectivity through affordable air travel. “Our establishment of regular flights between Zambia and popular destinations in South Africa reflects our dedication to intra-Africa connectivity,” said Captain Walubita.  

“We aim to provide convenient travel options for both business and leisure passengers, further bolstering ties between our nations.” 

Cape Town, the second-largest city in South Africa, holds a special place in the hearts of travelers worldwide. Renowned for its well-developed infrastructure and awe-inspiring natural wonders such as the iconic Table Mountain, Cape Town has long been a sought-after destination for tourists from across the globe. 

To meet the growing demand for travel between Zambia and South Africa, Proflight Zambia will initially operate two weekly flights on Tuesdays and Saturdays. This increased accessibility will bring enhanced convenience and flexibility to passengers, enabling them to experience the rich cultural tapestry and natural splendor of both nations.

During the busy holiday season from 8 December ’23 to 5 January ‘24, we’ll be operating three direct flights from Lusaka to Cape Town and Cape Town to Lusaka. The flights are at convenient times allowing you to make the most of the holiday . We also offer quick easy connections to/from Ndola via Lusaka.
