Proflight Zambia frequent flyers have the opportunity to claim free flights by redeeming the air miles that have accumulated in their accounts, the airline has advised.
Proflight’s popular Mbasela Club Frequent Flyer programme enables registered passengers to accumulate airmiles at the rate of 250 miles for each one-way domestic flight, regardless of route or fare class, and 500 miles on regional flights.
Mbasela members can then redeem these miles for a free flight. To qualify for a free domestic ticket on any route, members on the programme will need to have 2,500 Miles or 5,000 Miles for a free one-way ticket on a regional flight.
Yet many frequent flyers collect their miles and then forget or don’t get round to claiming their rewards, explained Proflight Zambia Director of Government and Industry Affairs Captain Philip Lemba.
“Proflight’s Mbasela frequent flyer programme, rewards flyers who frequently fly with miles which allows them to get their next flight free after accumulating the stipulated miles either domestically or regionally. Tickets can be used for a business trip or a weekend in Durban; you can use it yourself or simply pass it on as a unique gift to a family member or friend,” he said.
Requests for a free reward ticket can be submitted on a simple email form on the airline’s website at www.flyzambia.com, or by email to mbasela@proflight-zambia.com, at least ten working days before the intended flight date.
The airline cautions, however, that there are limited seats for reward ticket bookings and passengers may not be able to travel on busy flights. Tickets may be requested in the name of the frequent flyer or in the name of any adult over 18 years.
The Mbasela Club programme has attracted more membership on its frequent flyer programme during 2017. Proflight’s Mbasela membership is free and is open to individuals over 2 years of age who must have their own unique e-mail address.
Members who don’t have enough Miles for a free ticket, can buy top-up points online; for instance, K250 will enable members to add 500 Miles which is a big plus. Mbasela miles are valid for 36 months or three years.
