High-flying woman Yuyo Kambikambi has received two return tickets on Proflight Zambia after winning a draw at the Stanbic Anakazi Banking Women of the Year Awards.
Mrs Kambikambi received her tickets this week from Proflight Sales and Marketing Manager Barbara Namwila, accompanied by Stanbic Bank Zambia head of Public Relations Chanda Katongo and Awards organiser Karen Nakawala.
“Thanks to Anakazi Banking under Stanbic for establishing the Zambia Women’s Award and to Proflight Zambia for offering two free return flights to any destination of my choice,” said Mrs Kambikambi.
Anakazi Banking focuses on both increased access to finance and capacity-building activities for women entrepreneurs.
“Anakazi Banking is a good opportunity for women to understand that banking is not only for men but women as well. This initiative has brought in a new dimension for women of things that never used to happen before,” said Mrs Kambikambi.
As a woman who has been married for 25 years, she has built a career for herself in communications with more than 25 years of practice.
She now looks forward to enjoying her flight with Proflight Zambia. Mrs Kambikambi won two free return tickets and she is still thinking about a place to go from Proflight’s regional and domestic destinations.
“I have flown with Proflight to Durban before on a return flight. I went for a business trip where I spent about 10 days; the place is just wonderful,” she added.
The airline currently has scheduled flights from its base in Lusaka to Livingstone, Ndola, Solwezi, Mfuwe and Lower Zambezi with regional flights to Lilongwe Malawi, Durban and Cape Town in South Africa.
