Proflight Zambia has joined hands with tourism industry stakeholders to promote and sponsor the 2017 Zambia Tourism Expo ZATEX with the theme ‘responsible tourism; a sustainable choice for development.’ The airline is devoted to providing safe, efficient, reliable and friendly flight services to tourism and business travellers travelling across the country and beyond. Proflight as thus a significant stakeholder in the tourism sector and plays a critical role in creating a platform for domestic and international tourism by linking travellers throughout its network. “We champion tourism growth in Zambia and our presence as Proflight at this year’s Tourism Expo confirms that. This year the Travel Expo has attracted 75 exhibitors from around the country compared to 47 in 2016, along with 43 foreign buyers and media. The travel expo this year is hosting buyers from around the globe including USA, Spain, Uganda, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Nigeria, South Africa, India, Kenya, Namibia, Switzerland, Portugal, Norway and the United Kingdom. The theme ‘Responsible Tourism: A Sustainable choice for Development’ was set in line with the designation of 2017 as the International Year of sustainable tourism for development by the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO). Add part of ZATEX, Proflight will be flying a group of more than 50 international travel agents for operators and travel ournalists to Mfuwe Livingstone and Lower Zambezi to enable them to see the country’s main tourism attractions for themselves.
