Claim Miles

In order to ensure that your Miles are automatically added to your account after every flight you must ensure that your Mbasela Club number is in the reservation record before you travel to the airport. However, you may use this form to claim for missing Miles on flights taken within the past three calendar months.

• Miles expire after three calendar years, i.e. Miles earned in 2016 will expire on 01 January 2019.

Before you apply for a Reward ticket you must check that you have earned sufficient Miles to cover the route.

Please note that there are limited seats for Reward ticket bookings and you may not be able to travel on busy flights.
You may request a ticket in your own name or in the name of any Adult over 18 years.
We will contact you within the next 72 hours regarding your Reward ticket reservation and advise you of the total taxes that are payable.
Your ticket cannot be issued until you to pay for airport and security charges; you may pay in cash/credit card at any Proflight office, online by credit/debit card or at any Zoona agent in Zambia.

Having the Mbasela Club number in the booking means that the Miles will be automatically added to your Mbasela Club account after every flight. Terms & Conditions

  1. GENERAL

    1.1 Each eligible person applying for the membership in the Programme is considered to have accepted and agrees to abide by the Terms and Conditions.

    1.2 Proflight Zambia reserves the right to modify (in whole or in part) or terminate the Programme at any time without prior notice. Modifications may concern rules of the Programme, membership conditions, the amount of Miles required for certain destinations, the period of validity of Miles, etc.

    1.3 Proflight Zambia reserves the right, without giving reason at its sole discretion, to rescind or refuse membership of the Mbasela Club.

    1.4 Proflight Zambia reserves the right to terminate the Mbasela Club at any time but will use its reasonable endeavours to give at least three months' notice to Members. Notice of termination will be provided on the website, www.proflight-zambia.com.

    1.5 Each member must have his/her own unique personal e-mail address

    1.6 Miles cannot be transferred between different membership numbers

    1.7 It is not permitted to use the e-mail address of a travel agency, tour operator or travel organiser.

    MBASELA CLUB MEMBERSHIP

    2.1 Membership in the Programme can be obtained by completing an on-line Application Form

    2.2 Persons under 2 years of age, staff of Proflight Zambia and associated companies, airline, airport or travel agency staff are not eligible for membership of the Mbasela Club

    2.3 Only one Membership is allowed per person. Organisations, corporations and other entities cannot be enrolled as a Member

    2.4 Mbasela Club Membership is free of charge.

    2.5 Proflight Zambia reserves the right to refuse, suspend or cancel Membership of any applicant who does not comply with the Terms and Conditions.

    2.6 Membership termination may occur:

    • if a Member fails to comply with the Terms and Conditions
    • upon the wish of a Member at any time by written notice
    • upon the termination of the Program
    • upon the death of the Member

    2.7 Upon Membership termination, all accumulated Miles will be cancelled.

    MBASELA CLUB MILES

    3.1 The Mile is the basic unit of calculation in the Programme.

    3.2 Members are eligible to receive Mbasela Miles for travel in eligible booking classes on scheduled flights operated by Proflight Zambia. Mbasela Miles have no cash value. Miles are not awarded on Code Share flights where Proflight Zambia is not the operating carrier.

    3.3 Ongoing membership of the Mbasela Club is subject to a Member earning the minimum number of Mbasela Miles. Proflight reserve the right to terminate membership where less than 2,500 Miles have been earned in the previous calendar year

    3.4 Mbasela Miles Reward tickets, some discounted fares and some promotions/fares, spouse fares, charters, inclusive tours, free or complimentary tickets are not eligible for Mbasela Miles

    3.5 It is be possible to claim missing Miles for flights taken in the past three calendar months but only using the online Missing Mile Claim Form . The Member is responsibility to ensure that their Membership number is entered in their reservation record before the flight. Member's should remind their travel agent or Proflight-Zambia office to enter their Mbasela Club number. When making a booking online the number must be entered at the time of booking.

    3.6 Miles will automatically expire after 36 months and Expired Miles will be automatically deducted from your account. You are advised to use your Miles rather than have them expire.

    3.7 Miles are not credited for unused, lost or refunded tickets.

    3.8 Provided the Mbasela number is in the airline reservation record prior to departure, Miles will automatically be credited to a Member's account after the flight.

    3.9 In case of any errors (miles credited/debited incorrectly, etc.) Proflight Zambia reserves the right to correct the account of any Member.

    FREE REWARD FLIGHTS

    4.1 As soon as a Member's account has reached the required mileage level a Reward ticket must be requested by using the online ‘Claim a Free Flight’ form on www flyzambia.com.

    4.2 Mbasela Club reserves the right to change the conditions regarding the number of Miles required to obtain a Reward and to cancel Reward offers. All Reward tickets are subject to applicable taxes, fees and charges. It is not possible to use Reward Miles to pay for a ticket that has already been booked.

    4.3 If a Reward ticket request is processed by the Proflight Reservations office, the Member should submit a request by e-mail at least ten days before the intended date of travel. Bookings made off-line will be subject to a Ticketing Fee of USD 6.00 per segment.

    4.4 Open-dated Reward-tickets are not allowed.

    4.5 All Reward tickets are subject to seat availability in the designated Mbasela Club booking class. The number of seats for Reward tickets is limited, even on flights which are not fully booked. Reward ticket availability is subject to other restrictions including 'Black Out' periods and operational limitations.

    4.6 Earned Miles cannot be combined with cash or other form of payment to get an Reward but it is possible to buy ‘Top-Up’ miles – see the Frequent Flyer section of the website.

    4.7 Once issued, Mbasela Miles Reward tickets are subject to the same Fare Rules and Conditions as a normal ticket, e.g. A change fee of USD 25 will apply; any fare difference must be paid. If the ticket is not used Reward Miles will be forfeited and not re-credited to the Members account. Where a Reward ticket is not used the

    Member may apply for a refund of airport taxes (a small administration fee may apply)

    4.8 Reward tickets will not be awarded on Code Share flights were Proflight Zambia is not the operating carrier. Excess Baggage Allowance payments or other ancillary services do not qualify for Miles.

    4.9 Proflight reserve the right to limit Mileage redemptions to 25,000 Miles per member, per calendar year.

    TRANSFERING REWARDS

    A Member may transfer rewards, but not issued tickets, to any person over 18 years of his/her choice. All rules and regulations outlined here also apply to the person to whom the award is transferred; it is the Member's responsibility to ensure that the person receiving the transferred Reward ticket is aware of the flight restrictions, taxes payable and the others rules and regulations. Proflight Zambia is not responsible for fraud or for any other misuse of a ticket or Reward.
