Earning Miles

The number of miles that you earn depends on the distance and the fare that you pay. Actual miles are awarded if you are travelling on our Promo or Saver Fare; Semi Flex fares earn 25% bonus miles and if you are travelling on a Standard Fare you will earn 50% extra miles while those travelling on the Flexible Fare will earn double Miles. Standby and other special fares do not qualify for Mbasela Miles.

You can use the drop-down selection to display the number of Mbasela Miles that you will earn on a one-way flight between the two airports selected. The number of Mileage points you earn increases according to the booking class of your ticket.

Spending Miles

Mbasela Miles can be redeemed and exchanged for free tickets on Proflight Zambia scheduled flights so the more you fly the sooner you will qualify for a free ticket.

We will shortly expand the Mbasela Club rewards to include local restaurants, hotels, shops and other airlines. Members will automatically receive e-mail notification of these exciting new benefits.

Mbasela Club Miles can also be used to purchase a ticket for any other person over 18 years.

The number of Mileage points that you require for a free one-way ticket is displayed below; you will need double the number of Miles to apply for a free return ticket. While the ticket is free you will have to pay any additional fuel surcharges, airport taxes and service fees (no service fee will be due if you book your reward ticket online).

Claiming your reward

Once you have accumulated sufficient Miles you may claim your Free reward ticket using the online claim form. When we have processed your request we will send you a special promotional code which you can use to make your booking online. NOTE: You must apply online- we cannot accept telephone or personal requests.
