Taxes & Fuel Surcharges

In 01 September 2010 we introduced a fuel surcharge of USD 5 per one -way  and though fuel cost have increased since then we had not passed any further costs to our passengers. 

However it has become necessary to increase this and the fuel levy now ranges from U$8.00 to U$15.00 depending on airport of departure and is applied per passenger per sector.  This is displayed on your ticket as a YR tax code.

Departure Tax

Passengers are reminded that a Domestic Departure Tax (JI) of USD 8.00 (or Kwacha equivalent) must be paid prior to departure from Lusaka, Livingstone, Mfuwe and Ndola.  The Departure Tax may be paid in cash (USD or ZMK) or Visa card.

A lesser fee is charged from other domestic airports.

Security Charge

Effective 01 Jan 2011 National Airports Corporation (NACL)has also introduced a Security Charge of USD3.00 for domestic travel payable at all NACL airports and is applicable to all schedule and charter passengers. If the charter is International this charge is then U$5.00. Infants are NOT exempt from this charge.This fee is payable at the airport of departure at the same counter where the departure fee is collected.
