Unaccompanied Minors and Young Travelers
Because of legal requirements and the need to complete certain documentation it is not possible to book an Unaccompanied Minor using the Proflight Zambia online booking system.
The unaccompanied minor procedure must be applied for a child between 5 and 11 years old who is not accompanied by an adult over 16 years of age. A child under 5 years of age is not accepted for transportation on Proflight Zambia flights if not accompanied by an adult.
Proflight Zambia will accept up to two unaccompanied minors between 5 years and 16 years of age per flight, this may reduce if we have another "special needs" passenger on board.
Proflight Zambia can only accept unaccompanied minors for flights that have cabin crew on board.
Proflight Zambia will not accept a UM to use the Standby Special Fare. If a young traveler is accompanied with an adult of 18 years or above the standby fare will be permitted to be sold. However please note if only one seat is available the adult needs to take this seat. A child cannot travel on their own using the standby fare even if between 12 and 17 years of age.
